Full payment is required upon booking unless agreed otherwise by Vanguard Apartments. Once booked, we will give you a full refund, should you need to cancel up to 7 days prior to arrival. After that period, we will either offer you alternative dates or provide you with a refund providing we can book the accommodation again for those dates.
Our standard check-in time is 3pm and our latest departure is 11 am. This ensures our cleaning team has enough time to carry out our detailed cleaning protocol and to ensure all of our guests are arriving to a clean and disinfected property. If you require an earlier check-in time or later departure there will be an additional fee. Please do get in touch with us and we will endeavour to accommodate you wherever possible.
At Vanguard Apartments we understand that people’s circumstances change. With that in mind, we offer guests who book direct a full refund up to 7 days prior to arrival. After that we reserve the right to retain the full amount paid. Any refund will be at our discretion unless we are able to book the accommodation to other guests, in which case we shall make a refund to you of the booking costs less any difference in price (if the new booking is of a lesser value). Alternatively, we will happily look for alternative dates in future which would suit you and your group (unless the cancellation is made less than 72 hrs prior to arrival)
You can either call us on 07710 268873 or email us at info@vanguardapartments.com. If you are interested in booking a property, tell us which property you are interested in. Provide us with as much information as possible such as the numbers and the make up of your group (adults/children/infants) and the nature of your planned visit i.e. family gathering, friends get together, birthday celebration. We work on emails 7 days a week so will respond promptly and send you all the options that are available and best suited to your requirements.
Once you have booked with us, we will send you a copy of our terms and conditions electronically for you to read. You will need to sign these and upload a proof of ID for yourself and all other members of your group.
Once you have done so, you will automatically receive your check-in instructions 5 days prior to arrival. 48 hrs prior to arrival you will also need to authorise your security deposit via our on-line secure link. If the property you are staying at requires you to collect the keys from a KeyNest agent or lock box, the key collection code will only be sent to you once the security deposit has been authorised.
Wherever possible we aim to provide you with an allocated parking space. However due to the central location of some of our properties, it is not always possible to do so. As a result, when you book with us, we will always include some parking recommendations nearby in your check-in instructions.
If you or a member of your party develop Coronavirus symptoms at any point during your stay, please inform us straight away so that we can take the necessary actions for deep cleaning the property.
Please double check you have all your belongings, ensure you close all doors and windows and switch off the central heating before leaving. Any keys, keyfobs or parking permit need to be dropped off as per check out instructions prior to departure. Please note, if you collected your keys from one of our KeyNest agents or lock box, do drop them back there before heading home. Failure to do so will result in part of your security deposit being held back
A prompt 11am departure is essential for our cleaning team to carry out our detailed cleaning protocol and to ensure all of our guests are arriving to a clean and disinfected property.
If your booking can’t legally take place due to a COVID-19 national lockdown in the UK or a COVID-19 local lockdown in the UK, either where the property you’ve booked is based or where you (as the lead booker) live, or the number of people and/or households (as referred to in your booking) due to travel is in excess of the legally allowed number to share an accommodation, you can request a change of date or receive a refund.
Demand for our properties are high and we can receive multiple enquiries for the same property and dates. We do understand it is very tricky to organise a group stay and we do our very best to assist you with prompt communication. However, in order to keep the booking system straightforward and ensure all potential guests have a fair chance of booking, we can only hold a date for you for 24hrs maximum.
It is important for health and safety, fire regulations and insurance that we know the exact breakdown of your group. Properties are set up and equipped for the capacity advertised. Please do check with us if you are expecting any extra day guests to visit during your stay.
Yes we can provide you with a travel cot. Please do send us an email at the time of booking at info@vanguardapartments.com with your bed configuration requirements and cot request. There will be a £5 additional charge for the cot bed linens. Unfortunately, we do not provide high chairs at present.
In order to continuously provide a high standard of property for our guests to enjoy, it is essential that we request the guests to pay a security deposit to ensure that our properties are respected. By holding this, it assures us that the guests have agreed to be responsible whilst staying and it encourages the property to be left in the same way it was at the start of the stay. We do understand that accidents do occur and are extremely reasonable with minor breakages, damage and extra cleaning.
You will need to authorise the security deposit 48hrs prior to arrival. We will send you a secure link for you to click on and enter your card details. That way, you card details are always safe with you. The security deposit is held by Stripe (a 3rd party payment processor) and is automatically returned to you within 3-4 working days unless there are any damages or issues with the property at check out (further details can be found into our Terms and Conditions.
As a general rule, pets are not allowed in any of our properties. Any pre-agreed exception will incur a higher security deposit to be paid as a guarantee.
Whilst we endeavour to ensure our properties have wheelchair access, it is not always possible. Do give us a call prior to booking and we will be able to advise you regarding which property will suit your needs best.
Our accommodation is furnished with all of the comforts of home in a wonderful countryside setting. You’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, bed linen, towels, TV, free WiFI, and more in our holiday home.

Everything is included in our rental rates. There are no added surcharges for using our WiFi, TV, towels or changeovers.
‘Insert Accommodation Name’ is the ideal city break apartment with everything you need close to hand. Nestled in the heart of ‘insert city name’ in the enviable location of ‘insert zone’.
We are within walking distance to many of the city’s coveted attractions and theatres including, ‘insert attraction/monument/theatre names’ and within a ‘insert minute’ walk you’ll find a great selection of restaurants, pubs and cafes (ask for our recommendations when you book).
There are small local stores and a main supermarket close by and guests enjoy easy access in and out of the city from ‘insert name of mainline train/tube/airport name’. We will be happy to book you a taxi on the day of your departure.
Local amenities: local stores, supermarkets, shopping centre, local market, bars, restaurants, public transport – bus and train, medical centre.
Local activities: sightseeing, park walks and children’s adventure parks, cinema, river boat trips and tours, museums, art galleries, theatre.
Payment of a non-refundable deposit of ‘insert amount’ is required on confirmation of your booking. This deposit will secure your booking and dates.
The balance is due 30 days before arrival or immediately when booking within 30 days of arrival.
At the time of booking, we ask our guests for a security deposit of ‘insert amount’. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved a day or two before you arrive and then released after departure on return of the keys and if there is no damage, there is nothing you need to do.
